Freed Maxick ABL Services is one of the nation's largest providers of ABL field exam outsourcing services to asset-based lending and other financial institutions that have granted loans, increased credit lines, reduced credit lines, or reduced loan loss exposure. Our Approach

The information gathering techniques we employ are designed to generate comments and recommendations relating to the company’s procedures and reporting a loan before it is granted. Once a facility is closed or when concerns with current customer loans arise, we can be involved in performing collateral monitoring and operational reviews with immediate response time.

As part of our services, we also try to provide the lender with a greater degree of knowledge and awareness regarding an existing loan as well as a complete evaluation of the collateral. Our field examinations are performed in accordance with the procedures requested by the lender. While our exams generally discuss various aspects of the business, the primary focus of the exam is on the quality of the underlying accounts receivable and inventory.

These assignments are conducted in accordance with procedures agreed-upon with the lender prior to commencement and we offer suggestions on procedures we consider necessary or appropriate in the circumstances. Only our professional staff, who are experienced in this type of specialty engagement and possess a wide range of industry expertise, will conduct these field examinations.

Our services are tailored to meet a lender’s specific needs and we can service your customers at any location. We will utilize a lender’s audit program and report form as requested. If a lender does not have an internally developed program, we will work with the institution to provide an appropriate audit format and issue a report that will fit management’s requirements. We are totally automated in our process.

Mike Boeheim, CIA, CFE, a Director of Freed Maxick ABL Services,  will be instructor for the Commercial Finance Association's Fraud Awareness Workshop, being held Wednesday, May 21 - Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City in California. The Fraud Awareness Workshop is a three-day program presenting the best practices in the prevention and detection of borrower fraud, while also recommending fraud prevention procedures for a variety of Asset-Based Lending (ABL) disciplines. The goal of the program is for participants to understand their roles in mitigating the risk of fraud within their organizations.  During the three-day program participants will learn fraud prevention procedures for the ABL and factoring discplines of:
