David Bernardi, CPA, CFP, is the managing director of the Rochester Practice Unit of Freed Maxick & Battaglia, P.C.  Formally, a founding partner of Schifferli, Bernardi and Russo, CPAs and then Bernardi and Russo, CPAs, David has over 28 years of experience in public accounting. 

David has focused on the diverse needs of his many closely-held business clients and a substantial amount of his time is spent in the areas of high impact tax and financial planning.  He obtained his designation as a Certified Financial Planner to help his clients with financial planning in the areas of insurance, investments, planning for college, and retirement and estate planning.  He also has received his insurance and brokerage licenses.

David is very active in the local community, especially in his current role and a past president for the board of the Italian Heritage Foundation.

David graduated from St. John Fisher College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
