Ms. Carey is past President of the Buffalo Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPAs).  She has also served as chairperson of both the Federal and State Taxation Committee and the Management Consulting Services Committee.  Ms. Carey has also served as Co-Chair of the Annual Tax Institute, an annual event sponsored by the Buffalo Chapter of the NYSSCPAs, the Erie County Bar Association, and the University of Buffalo.  Ms. Carey is also a member of the tax section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She also served on the Board of Managers for the Buffalo Museum of Science. 

Ms. Carey is a graduate of Niagara University and the AICPA national Tax Institute.  She is very active in community events and non-profit organizations.
