The Mentored Accounting Experience

Buckle up for an accounting internship taken to a whole new level with the MAX program - a real world learning experience for accounting students. Shift into gear with Freed Maxick's fun and fast-paced environment, where you’ll learn, grow and equip yourself with the tools needed to accelerate your career. As a participant in the MAX program at Freed Maxick & Battaglia, you will be part of Western New York's largest public accounting firm, also named one of WNY's Best Places to Work by Buffalo Business First. The program runs June-July of 2010. The application deadline for summer 2010 internships is December 31, 2009. Please send applicable documents to MAX Program Coordinator.

Benefits Receive one-on-one mentoring from our MAX Program Coordinator and other members of our firm. Network with Freed Maxick & Battaglia staff and and Directors during the program and throughout your career. Interact with other members of the engagement team; share ideas, ask questions, learn from the best. Gain exposure to a variety of service areas from an audit and tax perspective. Work on exciting and challenging assignments from our diverse client base. Attend firm sponsored CPE sessions and refine your technical skill set. Share the same responsibilities as full-time staff members. Attain real work experience in audit and tax practices. Be a member of an engagement team; discuss client matters with Directors and our management team. Document your experience and receive evaluations and feedback throughout the program.

 MAX Program Requirements

• Minimum B grade average in Accounting Principles I & II
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.4
• Two letters of recommendation: one from a professor, one from a working or volunteer experience
• Current transcript 
• Resume
