Robert M. Glaser, CPA, is the Managing Director of Freed Maxick & Battaglia, CPAs, PC and RSM McGladrey in Buffalo, New York.  Mr. Glaser has over 40 years of experience in public accounting including 13 years with a Big 4 international accounting firm. Freed Maxick & Battaglia has over 240 personnel with offices in Buffalo, Batavia and Rochester. The firm operates its tax practice as RSM McGladrey. 

As Managing Director, Mr. Glaser is responsible for planning the future growth and success of the Firm.  He also has responsibility for closely-held, private corporations in coordinating and providing a full range of services including audit, tax, and management consulting services.  Additionally, he is very active in acquisitions and divestitures of companies. 

Mr. Glaser's diverse industry experience includes manufacturers, contractors, oil and gas exploration, transportation companies, distributors and service companies.  He has significant experience in corporate acquisitions, business valuations, litigation support, tax planning and specialized bank financing.

Mr. Glaser is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Canisius College Board of Regents Audit Committee and the Canisius College Council of Accountancy.  He is currently a member of the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission for the Eigth Judicial District and is on the editorial advisory board of CPA Managing Partner Report. 

Mr. Glaser is the past chairman of the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority and a past-member of the Board of Directors of International Imaging Materials, Inc. He is a past member of the audit committee of Kaleida Health, the Board of Directors of The Buffalo Club, the Board of Trustees of Canisius High School and the Board of Directors of The Buffalo Hearing and Speech Foundation.  He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Erie County Private Industry Council, President of Park Country Club, Trustee of the Leukemia Society of America and a director of CPA Associates International.

Mr. Glaser graduated in 1968 from Canisius College with a B.A. degree in Accounting and in 1964 from Canisius High School.
