Donna McKinney is a Principal in the Healthcare Consulting Practice of Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C. She has over 20 years of experience serving the healthcare industry. Donna specializes in leading revenue cycle, transformational initiatives, and implementing operational imperatives system-wide. She has significant experience in revenue cycle optimization, hospital and ambulatory services operations, system turnarounds, expense and productivity management, and organization change and process re-design.
Donna provided strategic direction; led business planning process; approved new business development initiatives and growth strategies; optimized operating efficiencies between core functions; and maintained financial stability for a 200-bed tertiary care, academic hospital serving women and children with an operating budget exceeding $265 million. She had direct oversight over ambulatory and ancillary support services, which consisted ambulatory clinics, school- based health services, imaging services, environmental services, dietary services, and pharmacy services. Donna also led a multidisciplinary project team overseeing the large-scale relocation of both inpatient hospital and ambulatory centers.
