Richard J. Wright, Jr., CPA is the Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Freed Maxick P.C. As Managing Director, Rich is responsible for the development and execution of the Firm’s growth, technology and human capital strategies. Prior to being elected Managing Director, he was responsible for overseeing the Firm’s Human Resources department and served on the Executive Committee.
He has a broad background in tax planning, working with closely held businesses, in particular with subchapter S-corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. He also has significant experience assisting companies with tax advisory services pertaining to structuring and M&A activity. Rich assists manufacturing, technology and software companies in New York and nationally to successfully reduce their tax liabilities by uncovering R&D credits.
Rich has other specialty areas, including working with high net worth individuals, business owners, and professional athletes with their personal tax planning and compliance needs.
