It’s not often a Graphic Designer has the opportunity to be a part of a company’s rebranding, so I consider myself pretty darn lucky to have had a part in designing the new Freed Maxick identity. Let me tell you – it’s been a long few months, but I’m so proud of the results, and the knowledge I’ve gained throughout this process has been invaluable. I discovered what I’m capable of as a designer, but what I wasn’t expecting was how much I learned about our Firm at the same time.

Freed Maxick underwent a branding survey performed by Wendy Nemitz, Dawn Wagenaar and the team at Ingenuity Marketing. Ingenuity surveyed our clients as well as Freed Maxick employees in order to help us better understand ourselves and our place in the market. Our survey results were both educational and exciting to hear! We learned that there were several key themes that developed over the course of the survey – but above all else Freed Maxick stands for trust. It’s something our folks hold in high regard here at Freed Maxick, but hearing unbiased opinions from our clients just confirmed what we already knew: without the trust of our clients, we’re just another Accounting Firm.

Now that our new brand has been developed and we’re beginning to roll it out, we wanted to share the other key themes that came out during that insightful survey. Now, you might be asking, “Why should I care what the key themes are?” Well, these themes were the basis for designing our new logo. It’s because of them that our logo stands for something – well, actually, a few things.

So, we got in touch with our friends at Block Club Creative, and started to brainstorm how we could share this new information with you in a unique and entertaining way: a video! I’m so excited to share this video with you not only because it showcases who we are, but also because it’s really cutting edge and most importantly – fun to watch!

I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we had fun making it!
