This past Tuesday July 31, my sister Rachel and I got the chance to attend our first ever Bills training camp, thanks to Freed Maxick and Entercom Communications Corp. We’re both Bills fans, and this was an awesome opportunity for us, since we’d never gone to any of the training camps before this. This year the camp is being held at the beautiful St. John Fisher College, located in Pittsford, NY, a town near the Rochester area.

A group of seven people from different companies in the Buffalo area, all took an awesome limo bus, provided by Zoladz limousine, and once we got there, we were given VIP corporate hospitality passes, which gave us the best view of the fields, including unlimited food and drinks, all within the VIP sections. Guests were provided with a roster for the season, and a free poster and sharpie for autographs at the end of the practice.

After eating some food and relaxing a little bit, we made our way over to the first field, where the offensive line was practicing and warming up. There were 5 to 10 minute intervals where different players were doing drills, warming up, stretching, or going through plays. In the VIP section, we were right up next to the field, and  really got the chance for an up close experience. It was awesome seeing all the players practice together before the season starts, since this amount of coverage is nearly impossible at the games.

The practice did end early though, due to severe thunderstorms, but even when we left, I didn’t feel like we missed out on anything. I thought that the training camp was an awesome way to get up close and see the players practice together in the preseason, and I definitely want to come back next year to watch the next new team play in the preseason!
