Mary Eggers, a volunteer, has entered a contest sponsored by Aveeno.  The contest honors individuals who make an impact on their community and make it a more beautiful place. If she wins this the Teens Living with Cancer (TLC) program of MLTCF will receive $10,000.

MLTCF and Mary have been pioneers taking social media to the next level in its fundraising efforts. In early 2012, Lance Armstrong was challenged to a swimming race via Twitter and with his response came the “Duel in the Pool”, a race between Armstrong and Eggers. Keeping up with social media can be a challenge, but at the same time having very significant results if properly utilized.
