I recently had the pleasure of meeting up with two representatives from the Northeast Kidney Foundation of Greater Buffalo. There are many things going on with the organization and many ways that people can help support their mission and become involved in volunteer opportunities. Let’s take a look!
The organization is currently recruiting for those who may want to join their walk/5K run committee. The event will be held the 1st Sunday of June in 2013 at Delaware Park in Buffalo, NY. They are looking for energetic folks that want to help organize and promote the event. The first committee meeting will be held on Thursday evening October 25 at 5:45 pm at the offices located at 110 Broadway, in Buffalo, NY. Call in option will be available as well. Please let me know if you might be interested and I will be happy to pass your information along. The time commitment would be one or two hours per month with a little more time closer to the event.
There’s a new way to drive out kidney disease in your community! The best part is, all the funds stay local! Did you know you can donate your used car, truck or boat and help those – right here at home – living with kidney disease or waiting for a life saving transplant? It’s fast and easy and you might qualify for a tax deduction! Visit www.kidneywheelsbuffalo.org for more information or call 800-999-9697 today!
