Western New Yorkers are truly generous people! Our marketing team recently received an email from a local organization, Family Help Center, alerting us of the amazing donations of clothes, household items, furniture and even monetary donations by many of our community members. These donations were for local families who lost every thing in recent house fires, and went way over the top… able to outfit three families and their new homes with many needed items! Here you can see the YouTube coverage by WKBW Channel 7 over the weekend of two of the families moving in and our delivery of donated furniture… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=codY9rdL22k
The organization has so many more donated items than the three families need, so they are in contact with the Red Cross to get the additional items sent out to more families and individuals who lost everything in fires on local streets: Timon (2 families) and Forest (27 people)
Now this local organization is once again asking for help! You can take action and support many other local organizations who need assistance and aid!
