The Batavia Office took part in the Sixth Annual Genesee County United Way Day of Caring on Wednesday May 8, 2013. The Day of Caring has turned into a county and now office tradition. Eight employees from the Batavia Office (Erica Spezzano, Deb Tillotson, Nancy Jackson, Nicole Cree, Natalie Ficarella, Amanda Taylor, Samantha Southall and myself, Jonathan Tretter) joined over 350 other community members to volunteer their time to help around the county. There were over 30 “work sites” that were able to benefit from this wonderful event.

United Way - Day of Caring

The day started out with a kick-off at Dwyer Stadium shortly followed by the teams heading out to their work sites around the county. The Batavia Office split up between two Genesee County ARC work sites.  Half of the group painted three offices at the ARC’s main site while the four others helped paint one of the newly acquired locations of the ARC. The day concluded with a small celebration at Terry Hills Golf Course. Not only did the day present a wonderful opportunity to give a little back to the community that gives so much to all of us, but it also presented an opportunity to build the personal relationships between co-workers while helping out others. This is just one of the many ways that Freed Maxick supports its local communities and charities.
