On Thursday, June 13th Freed Maxick employees got a bit messy with a big splash and raised money for a wonderful cause! Our fun loving employees got involved in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2013 Gelatin Splash, challenging Director Howard Epstein, a board member, to take the big plunge to help fight blood cancers! Participants were asked to fundraise $400 or more to have the pleasure of sliding into 1,000 gallons of jiggly gelatin in honor or in loving memory of a local cancer patient.
The Splash event is also very inspirational, as each participant has the opportunity to share the reason why they are splashing. Spectators are invited to come to attend the Gelatin Splash party to cheer on their favorite splasher, help judge the costume contest and have a great time!
Thanks go out to the Freed Maxick team for their efforts in raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 24th Annual Gelatin Splash. In total from all participants $114,800 was raised with 80 caring participants and about 1,000 spectators to cheer them on!
The “Men In Black” theme won the Costume Contest and this creative Freed Maxick Team raised $3,670 to help cure cancer…one splash at a time! For more photos, check out our Facebook Album!
