SAVE THE DATE and join Freed Maxick as we participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night Walk, taking place on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 7:30pm in Buffalo’s beautiful Delaware Park.
Since 1949, LLS has invested close to $1 billion to find a cure for blood cancers, and with donations from the community, LLS is able to fund promising advances and breakthroughs that are saving thousands of lives every day.
The Light the Night Walk brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Light The Night Walks are people coming together to inspire, motivate and take an active role in finding cures. During these evening leisurely walks, Champions For Cures carry illuminated lanterns – white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to a blood cancer.

Buffalo Director Howard Epstein, CPA sits on several commitees and has fundraised and generated interest and involvement in the organization by spearheading various volunteer and fundraising efforts for his coworkers. He has also taken part in the annual Gelatin Splash event, which has been fun to watch!

Your Support Helps Blood Cancer Patients Live Better, Longer Lives!
A Message from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society:
On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the patients we serve, thank you for your tremendous fundraising efforts! With your help, the 2013 Buffalo Light The Night Walk raised a record breaking $425,000 to support our mission in finding cures for blood cancer. Thank you to all of our CHAMPIONS FOR CURES! Also, special thanks to our BRIGHT LIGHTS CLUB members who raised $1,000 or more!
Thanks to you and our generous community, we are making a real impact in the lives of people with cancer, their families and caregivers. Donations received through the Light The Night Walk accelerate treatment advances once thought impossible – like targeted drugs that seek out cancer cells and kill them, and immunotherapies that use a patient’s immune system to kill cancer. Funds also support patient aid and services for local patients and their families.
