Immediate full-time opportunity with the Healthcare Consulting group of a Top 100 CPA Firm.
We are looking for an individual with reimbursement experience who also possess strong project management skills, with a sound combination of data analytical capability and client-facing skills.
Reimbursement Projects – Assist with preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports; perform Medicare and Medicaid research of various reimbursement issues; assist with Medicare wage index reviews; prepare reimbursement targeting tools for Medicare and Medicaid; understanding of Medicare teaching components of reimbursement; knowledge of New York State Medicaid rate sheets; and preparation of month end and year end third party settlement accounts
Ideal candidate is analytically keen with 2 – 5 years of reimbursement experience. Familiar with preparing New York State Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for hospitals and nursing homes. Strong organization or project management skills a must. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel. Top-notch people skills, ability to present to and field questions from different levels within an organization.
Ideal background for this candidate would include two to five years previous experience in an acute care setting in budget/reimbursement analyst position or similar position.
Candidates could also have similar relevant experience as consultants within the hospital reimbursement space.
- Four-year degree in related area of study

- Ability to develop and maintain databases of large data files.
