Tax Talent – Non-Profit


As a Tax Senior/Supervisor specializing in the tax-exempt and not-for-profit sector, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing tax-related matters for our diverse portfolio of clients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with tax regulations while maximizing tax benefits for non-profit organizations. This role involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their unique financial situations, providing strategic tax planning, and guiding them through complex tax challenges.

About the job

  • Lead and manage the preparation and review of tax returns for non-profit organizations
  • Provide expert advice on tax-exempt status, charitable deductions, and compliance with tax laws
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor in all tax-related matters
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the non-profit tax landscape
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their growth and development
  • Assist in business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand our client base

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on tax-exempt or not-for-profit organizations
  • Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax laws relevant to the non-profit sector
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software
  • Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The compensation for this role varies based on experience and falls within the range of $65,000 to $90,000. These salary ranges are for applicants based in Western New York. Consideration will be given to applicants outside of our geographic area with appropriate ranges provided, based on location.
